Thoughts After Fabled Time: Please Read and Respond to me in Tell, Channel, or In-Game Email. (submitted by Spinecrak at 06:11am CDT)

AH Raids completely destroyed Fabled Plane of Time tonight. It has been around 2 and a half hours since The Fabled Quarm died, and I have talked to a few people who were on the raid and listened to concerns and input that they voiced to me. Since Fabled Time is something that is both limited and rare (happens less than 8 percent of the year), I have decided to set a few rules for Fabled Plane of Time raids for AH. If I seem completely off my rocker in this, please do not hesitate to tell me your opinions, I can't say that I will agree with it, but I will take all opinions into consideration and weigh them against what I think is best for the raiders overall. I will attempt to use myself as an example in all cases (Level 85 Warrior - Spinecrak).

1. FOR NON-FABLED LOOT - We will continue to random on non fabled loot. However, Mains will get priority over alts / bots / gifts in this matter. For example, if I am doing this raid as my alt Grigori (85 Necromancer) and a Darkblade of the Warlord drops, I may roll as a main, and loot it as Spinecrak only. During the first roll of mains only, you may only roll on the item if you wish to use it on your raid main. If no mains desire the item, then it is open to anyone. If no mains desire the item in question, then its really a free for all, it can be gifted, given to alts, bots, etc. However, during the main rolling phase, if you win, you may gift the item to another raid main only. This will keep the truely special items that people desire in the hands of those who will use them, rather than on alts/bots/etc. This only pertains to non fabled items.

2. FOR NON-FABLED LOOT - Once the next target is dead, all loot on all previous targets is FFA. This means that if we do the first four gods in this order : 1: Saryrn, 2: Terris-Thule, 3:Tallon Zek, and 4: Vallon Zek, then once Terris-Thule dies, any loot that has not been assigned on Saryrn is considered open to anyone who wants it. Once we kill Tallon Zek, the loot on Terris and Saryrn are both open to any who want. The only situation where this rule would be altered is if we have both Tallon and Vallon at the same time again. In that situation, if the raid fights both Tallon and Vallon at the same time, of course the loot of the first one is NOT FFA once the second one dies. In this example, they count as one "fight."

3. MOVEMENT BETWEEN FLOORS - No one will click up until the Raid Leader (whomever has the title at the time, whether it be Sumonerr or Spinecrak) says to click up.

4. LOOT BEFORE FABLED ENCOUNTERS - Loot in the phase directly before the Fabled Gods is to be considered polite-FFA. What this means is that once a named dies, we link the loot to the raid. If someone wants something, they will send a tell to the person designated by the raid leader as the individual in charge of the non fabled loot. For those on tonight's Plane of Time raid, that person was Mdail. During this phase no item is to be looted until Mdail says in Raid Say that someone may loot. It is your responsibility to speak up for yourself and state if you want something. The person in charge of non fabled loot will say in raid prior to awarding the item that there is a last call, in the event of only one person wanting an item. All loot will be dealt with after every creature is dead, while we are medding and buffing, prior to clicking the portal in. The person in charge of non fabled loot will set the seed to roll out of if multiple people desire the same non fabled item.

5. QUARM - After The Fabled Quarm is killed, everyone is to take a seat. No one goes near Zebuxuruuk's chamber. No one. There is no reason for our hard work to be wasted by an early teleport out.

6. CHARACTER - If you want to attend the raid as someone other than your raid main, for whatever reason, it is up to the sole discretion of the raid leader and officers of AH. For example, if we had a low number of tanks and Spinecrak wanted to play his Necromancer, the Raid Leader could tell me to please come as a Warrior, to help the raid succeed.

7. PORTALS - Don't go near them. Period.

8. FABLED LOOT ITEMS - These items will be governed by the same rules that have always been present in AH raids. Fabled Items may be bought for anyone using your dkp . You may gift them to anyone, win them for yourself, give them to friends, alts, bots, etc.

As always, any alterations to the above rules will be dealt with on a case by case basis. I realize that it may not sound fair, I have tried to make everything as cut and dry as possible, however, some situations will no doubt arise where the above rules must be tweaked during the raid. The Leadership and Officers of AH will make every attempt to be fair. I can only speak for myself, but my main concern on every AH raid is that all participants have fun. I don't want anyone to have any bad feelings, and I want all to enjoy their time together.

I was surprised that so many people wanted the non fabled items tonight. That caught me by surprise, though after looking at everything, I can see why this is. For Fabled Raids, the Raid Leader will designate someone to fairly distribute these loots, in a manner consistent with what was described above. The order of looting should be Fabled Items prior to Non Fabled items. If you intend to purchase loot for an alt, please have them camped out in Plane of Time A. It is rude to want the raid to halt their progress for 15 minutes on a floor that is finished because you must run from Ocean of Tears and are out of Gate Potions. Fabled items will be done first because they can be purchased for anyone, whereas Non-fabled items priority should be given to mains who want them.

I think that is just about everything regarding fabled items. Now onto something else entirely...

I have a zero tolerance policy regarding any interference with loot awarding. Tonight someone purchased a Fabled Blade of War, and someone else looted it without permission. This person was not in the raid. I have not heard back from the GMs yet, and I will not point fingers at any person or guild until I know for sure who is responsible. However, I want to share some thoughts on this matter in general, so everyone is clear.

First of all, I raid AH because I enjoy raiding, as I assume is true for many, if not all of you. We all come and spend our time and work on raids to get the result of a successful event. We earn DKP, we spend it to better our character, and by bettering our character, we as a raid force become more able to survive and win harder events, with better loot. We work together, we have a great time, and this is something that I cherish deeply. Its productive for our characters, and is also a wonderfully fun time.

When someone takes an item subversively, I view that as stealing. And personally speaking (outside of the game), I think there is nothing more deceitful and despicable than stealing under the cover of friendship.

That being said, I expect the events that happened tonight to NEVER happen again. Or anything even remotely like them. It is unacceptable. Accidents are one thing, but what happened tonight was no accident. After that happened, I wanted to just log. Call raids, and not raid again for a few weeks. The reason being, I enjoy the friendship and fellowship in AH. When that is violated, it taints my experience, and effectively taints the very thing that I lead these raids for. I speak for myself only, but I know many of you are similar in thought: we have put a lot of time, thought, and energy into this semi-public raiding system that we have created. It has turned into something that we can be very proud of, and rightfully so. It really upsets me that someone will subvert what we accomplish together in order to further themselves selfishly.

If you are caught stealing from AH, I have zero tolerance for it. Your DKP will be erased, and you will never be invited to attend a raid again. I enjoy the semi-public aspect of this program, but if it is abused, I will be forced to close the doors and hold new members under a scrutiny that I do not wish. Many of you are aware that the guild Blue and Silver is no longer allowed to raid with us. The reason for this is due to numerous problems involving Blue and Silver members subverting the AH program. These problems were attempted to be resolved less severely than an outright ban of an entire guild, however over a three week period of attempting to separate the "bad seeds" from the good ones, it became obvious that for the betterment of the raiding force, an outright ban was necessary.

I bring this up for the following reason. You all are representatives of whatever guild tag you bring to AH. I expect you all to hold your guildmates to a high esteem, and to not taint the reputations of your guild. If you steal from AH, and you create a situation where your guild is seen as a nuisance, all members of your guild will not be welcome on AH raids.

GMs take the theft of items seriously. There are numerous ways to find out who commits these acts. AH is an interconnected web of guilds. We all have friends everywhere. One piece of gear is such a stupid thing to risk such a damaging blow to the reputation of both a player and a guild. I expect people to know who they are guilded with. For example, if you are in a guild and you know someone has stolen something, you are equally culpable unless you take appropriate actions. I know I would not want to be associated with someone who would do that, and I hope that you all feel similarly.

I guess thats about it for my feelings about tonights raids. All in all, I had a blast. It was a great time, I am very proud of AH overall for succeeding and defeating Fabled Plane of Time. It was my impression after the raids that people felt that the loot reward and the experience of it all merited future ventures in. That being said, I plan to go back to Fabled Plane of Time next Saturday, and every Saturday while it is available, assuming we have sufficient classes and raiders. I like Saturday for Fabled Plane of Time because we can start at 11pm eastern, and in the future start on time, in Plane of Time, for raid invites and initial buffs. I believe we can finish this quicker and things will go much more orderly in the future.

Even with the bullshit that happened in the start of the raids, I want to say, I had a wonderful time tonight. It was my first start to finish Plane of Time raid, and it was a memorable experience. I am honored that you all allowed me to experience that with you, and I look forward to more successful raids.

Also, during the fabled month, while Living Legacy raids are active, I would like to try to do a living legacy raid on Sundays, probably around 8pm eastern. I will see if we have the people to do one this sunday, but if not, plan on next sunday (3/28). There are many other fun things, fabled pet weapons, and other smaller kills that i will do nightly if I know of a target that is up, and if there is desire to do it. Just look me up, if I am on and free, I will come and help. Please let me know what you all think about what I have said here.

Thank you again for the wonderful raid, the support, and the work. All of you raiders make AH the success that it is, and I am eternally grateful for that.

Respectfully,
Spinecrak

Our Forum, Solteris, and Vent Info (Redux) (submitted by Spinecrak at 06:09pm CST)

A big THANKS goes out to Zayix, who took the time to clean up our Forums. The URL for the message board is :: http://ah.eqish.com/forum Go there, log in, register, and say HI. I think it will be a good place to talk strat, and also to post screen shots, as Scathaigh allready has.

I would really like to do Solteris as a raid sometime soon. Its a nifty raid, its got a few augs, but it has a TON of weapons. Not only are the weapons cool, but they look cool as well. Solteris is something that we can definately succeed at, and it brings up another option...

If we do at least 3 solteris missions, it will count toward the 7 needed to unlock Monster Mission raid loot (purchasable with brews that you get from doing the group tasks), and it will allow us to request and do the Naggy and Vox MM raids. They are very easy, and the only thing holding us back is that to zone in, you must have completed 7 Solteris or above raid events...of which we do four (FoS 2, FoS 3, Blackburrow, and Queen...hard raids do NOT count toward this). We could even do the MM raids on offnights, like 7pm eastern on Sundays. I plan to give those who have a completed solteris key some bonus DKP. If you allready have the key, congrats, you get it once you prove it to me (enter solteris with me, without a push)...if you do not have the key yet, its time to start working. I am thinking 100 dkp is a good incentive, though this number is subject to change prior to institution.

Allakhazam has a good write up of everything that you must do to become solteris raid flagged. Its a series of 8 group tasks with 3 or 4 mini subtasks (just hailing people, etc). Search under 'A City In Peril' to see the whole shebang.

Again, our ventrilo information is ::

Go get ventrilo from http://www.ventrilo.com and come in and talk to us. Its free and fun.

Thats about it. See you all on raids!

Upcoming Raids (2/5/10-2/6/10) (submitted by Spinecrak at 06:22pm CST)

Hey all!

Thanks to all who came last night to Frostcrypt. I would like to have an 8pm eastern raid each week, sometime between Sunday and Thursday. We could use this time to raid augs, since during the weekends I think our time is better spent beating Seeds of Destruction raids and getting some nice loot.

This weekend, I hope to do Queen Malarian (on Normal and Hard), Blackburrow:Stop the Ascension (on Normal and Hard), and Field of Scale 2 (Again, normal and hard). I would also like to do the Field of Scale 3 raid, which we haven't attempted yet. Its a really fun raid, sort of like taking part in a full scale war.

Please make every effort to be ready to go on our start times (I know this isnt always possible, even sometimes we must start late due to GH raids running late). We will of course continue to take on people as they become free throughout the night, but if people make plans to be ready to start on time, we can get formed up faster, letting us start faster, and thereby getting more time to complete more events before everyone starts falling asleep with keyboard indentations on their foreheads.

Thanks again for all the great fun, and I will see you all this weekend.
